What You Will Do

Develops, reviews and implements quality management processes for field oversight observations and verifications of the Contractor's Quality Plan (e.g. monitoring, inspection and progress of on-site work; factory acceptance and commissioning of engineered equipment). Participates in related field issue evaluation and resolution, e.g. risk analysis, site contractual and regulatory infractions, etc. Receives, forwards, reviews and tracks the various submittals to multiple internal/external reviewers for ensuring complete, timely, and coordinated responses. Participates in, schedules and coordinates commissioning of new equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and the contract requirements. Schedules and coordinates operational and maintenance training, ensuring documentation and training records are complete. Promotes a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies. Participates in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (e.g. engineering technology), along with directly related experience in multi-discipline construction projects; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations for Construction Projects, and Quality Assurance and Control programs for construction projects, as well as the TTC’s safety policies and procedures applicable to the instruction contract.
  • A valid Province of Ontario Class G driver’s licence would be an asset. May be required use of own vehicle required for visits to construction sites that are not easily accessible by public transits.
