Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for a Senior Integration Specialist to join our Renewable Energy Programs team! As part of the renewable energy engineering team, you will help make TTC’s net zero transition a success.

What You Will Do

• You will be reporting to the Chief Engineer – Renewable Energy Programs, and you will be responsible for ensuring systems delivered by REP project teams function safely and efficiently.
• You will ensure technical benefits such as technical capabilities of equipment, availability targets, etc. are known, tracked, achieved, and maintained, as well as, ensuring that all integration plans are coordinated and completed and that the integration team is functioning efficiently.
• You will manage, and coordinate the technical inputs of stakeholders for the initial requirements development for systems and/or equipment.
• You will coordinate the development and execution of inspection and test plans and procedures for materials, equipment, or systems.
• You will Identify and coordinate operations and maintenance plans and procedures for new systems or equipment, including coordinating the alignment of new procedures with existing procedures with internal stakeholders and contractors.
• You will review proposed maintenance activities and programs for practical coordination with other stakeholder activities, economic soundness, and expected effectiveness.
• You will ensure asset availability, reliability and operating costs meet operating group requirements.
• Additionally, and in concert with the REP project management team, you will ensure effective change management practices are in place and followed during project delivery and the transition to operations.
• You will also ensure that effective asset management plans are in place and followed for all REP systems.
• You will be responsible for scheduling team activities and providing input to and review of project schedules developed by others.
• Working with stakeholder groups, including TTC safety/regulatory SMEs, and contractor staff to ensure applicable corporate, environmental, regulatory, and legal requirements are identified and integrated into internal and external procedures and practices.
• You will ensure compliance with all safety requirements for representatives of suppliers and sub-suppliers when on TTC property.

What Qualifications Do You Bring

• Your education will consist of a completed college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (e.g. Electrical, Systems or Communications Engineering), along with extensive systems maintenance/operations experience in industrial environments; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
• A license such as P.Eng, and PMP certification are considered definite assets. Additional certifications such as a Master's Electrician License or similar is also considered an asset.
• Your application will reveal comprehensive knowledge of the design principles, operating and maintenance practices, and installation methods for industrial electrical systems, power electronics and control systems.
• Your application will reveal technical design skills with respect to electric vehicle chargers, control systems, low and medium-voltage distribution systems and renewable energy generation.
• Your application must reveal familiarity with the operation and maintenance of electrical systems and with general operations and maintenance practices.
• Your application will reveal knowledge and experience with systems testing procedures/programs.
• Your application will reveal ability to coordinate, influence and motivate staff and multi-function teams to achieve high performance levels and accomplish objectives.
• You must be able to travel to various project sites within the City of Toronto in a timely manner.
