Description

Job Overview

The Electronic Field Technologist will install, maintain, and repair the products owned by and distributed by Stinson ITS both in-house and in the field.

As a well-organized and detail-oriented individual, the Electronic Field Technologist will perform work both in-house and in the field. They will be required to follow blueprints and instructions to assemble, service, and maintain systems with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

 Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

 Troubleshoot electrical issues

 Follow instructions and designs and use manual and power tools to build electrical enclosures (both AC and DC) as well as mechanical mounting brackets and other assemblies

 Assist with design of new systems including the creation of drawings in Solidworks3D

 Fulfill customer orders and complete associated paperwork

 Carefully follow established safety procedures and guidelines

 Travel to sites and perform repair and maintenance work

 Provide Technical Support to Clients

 Identifies, investigates, and resolves users problems with hardware & software

 Fields support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding purchased product

 Commissions and configures systems remotely for clients

 Other duties as assigned to meet business and customer needs

Requirements

 Post-secondary education in engineering or 2 years of equivalent experience

 Full G driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract

 Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instructions

 Ability to operate electrical and manual machinery

 Proficiency with Microsoft Office with above average Excel skills

 Structured CRM experience (Salesforce) an asset

 Experience with Solidworks3D is an asset

 Ability to deal with deadlines and tight timelines

 Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 A keen interest to learn and grow and a willingness to be coached

 Very occasional weekend and night work (once or twice a year)
