Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

Our IS/IT security team is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to support protecting our business from cyber threats. Key responsibilities include vulnerability management, identity and access management, incident response, risk assessment, and threat intelligence.

The Cyber Security Analyst will have a strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, experience with relevant tools and techniques, and excellent problem-solving skills

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage vulnerabilities – detect, initiate and track remediation
  • Manage change requests for security deployments, patches, and other security-related changes
  • Research and identify possible cybersecurity threats to the organization, delivering monthly reports on threat intelligence and proposing action plans
  • Perform security risk assessments and facilitate the update of the risk register
  • Investigate security incidents, working with internal groups to remediate and improve the incident response process
  • Implement and validate security controls based on ISO27001, SOX ITGC and internal audits
  • Deliver monthly metrics on operational security activities
  • Review firewall rule requests and network/architecture changes, identifying risks and proposing security requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity
  • Bachelor / Master of Engineering, Computer Science and similar, or equivalent working experience
  • Demonstrated experiences with vulnerability management, incident handling/response, security risk management, and threat intelligence
  • Familiar with security tools and technologies such as vulnerability scanners, AV, EDR, SIEM, firewalls and GRC Risk Management tools
  • Knowledge in hybrid cloud environments
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a natural researcher, able to identify solution to problems and identify improvements/optimization of internal process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ISO27001 controls, and knowledge with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS
  • Hold an industry recognized certification, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC
  • Demonstrated experience with Threat Intelligence, modeling and landscape
