Job Overview

The Shipper/Receiver will receive incoming shipments including reviewing packing slips, checking quantities and locations, and unloading/moving inventory. They will also perform shipping duties including preparing items for shipment/pick up, dealing with customers, and loading trucks.

The Shipper/Receiver will be required operate a forklift, pump truck, and a dolly and will work both in the warehouse and in the yard.

Responsibilities

 Receive incoming inventory – review packing slips to ensure quantities, products, and

receiving location are correct

 Unload deliveries by hand or using a dolly, pump truck, or forklift and move new

inventory to the dock

 Advise Material Handler of newly arriving inventory

 Complete packaging requirements for shipping including moving onto skids and strapping to prepare for delivery/pick up

 Greet customers who arrive for order pick up – review paperwork, ensure payment has been received, pick items if needed, double check order against paperwork, enter into Sage, print paperwork for customer signature, load order into customers’ vehicles by hand or using a dolly, pump truck, or forklift

 Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of our customers and the business

Requirements
