Description

Mosaic Transit Constructors (Mosaic) - a consortium comprised of Aecon, Dragados, and Dufferin – is
partnering with Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to design, build and maintain the transformative
Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) system in the City of Toronto.

Position: 

Construction Coop 

Reports to: Construction Manager
Role 

Location: Toronto, ON

Essential Functions: 

• Ensure compliance with the standards of construction designs, plans and specifications.

 • Ensure compliance with the budget of project.

 • Prepare work breakdown structures, quantity takeoffs, and requests for quotes. 

• Participate in preliminary and final cost estimates.

 • Assist the project manager and construction team when help is needed. 

• Preparing all the reports, sketches (related with the scope of work) needed to fulfill the
requirements of the contract or according to the Ontario standards.

 • Tracking of progress billing, cost reports, inventory and quantity tracking. 

• Time sheet for T&M works and deliveries

 • Perform all other related tasks that will help complete the project

 Qualifications:
Required :

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or other equivalent training.
• Experience with heavy civil works and asset

 • Experience in structural engineering asset

 • Good initiative, attention to details 

• Ability to work in a team environment 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Excellent MS Excel and MS Word skills, AutoCAD

Working Conditions/ Physical Effort: 

• Able to perform in a fast-paced environment

• Prolonged sedentary positioning

• Walking, lifting, equipment operation, etc.
• Moderate physical activities 

• Ability to use stairs, ladders and climb over rough terrain. 

• Primary work location is the Project site for Mosaic Transit Group
