ONxpress Transportation Partners (ONxpress) will transform transit as they begin work on the design, construction and operation of new and modern GO rail services as part of the Metrolinx On-Corridor GO Rail Expansion program. The multi-billion dollar project will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification, more frequent service, shorter journey times and a more modernized system and services for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. ONxpress is comprised of an international partnership that brings established expertise to each area of the project: Aecon Construction Group, ALSTOM Transport Canada, DB International Operations, Part of DB E.C.O. Group, and FCC Canada Ltd. have come together to deliver on Metrolinx's vision that will transform GO transit rail service. The Project will bring frequent, all day, two-way rail service to the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The investment will generate thousands of new jobs and create economic opportunities across the region. The project will include adding over 200 kilometres of new track and electrifying over 600 kilometres of track. A new electric train fleet will also be introduced. The GO Expansion project also includes a re-design of Union Station platforms, upgraded track and signal technology, plus new quieter, cleaner electric locomotives that will improve the passenger experience. Accountability

The CMS Solutions Analyst for the GO Expansion – ONxpress Transportation Partners will establish a system design for the Commercial Management (CMS) solution, that enables fast and efficient development, systems integration, and incremental improvements. They will ensure that the CMS solutions are used, implemented, and configured to meet the requirements of all stakeholders. They will collaborate with other entities and stakeholders to ensure seamless interaction and data flows of CMS Data and documents through relevant IT systems. The CMS Solutions Analyst will ensure cost effective development and systems integration of CMS according to best practices and within defined cost frameworks as well as establish and maintain the IT configuration and customization, to make sure the system meets the requirements and keeping the baseline configuration maintainable and upgradeable.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Sub-Contractors, that develop and integrate the IT System, to make sure, that they deliver in Time, Scope, and Budget
  • Managing all IT related user requirements for the CMS solution.
  • Establish the seamless integration of the CMS Solutions with other IT Systems.
  • Support the implementation, integration, and support of a Commercial Management System.
  • Create a solution lifecycle roadmap for the CMS solutions System - plan, organize, control, evaluate and improve the system (implementation, development, operations) in alignment of evolve ONxpress needs and priorities.
  • Consult, advise and collaborate with stakeholders across the entire organization and contracting authority to identify business and technology needs, innovations and to perfect the use of asset data.
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
  • Responsible to Sr. Manager IT Applications for the IT related CMS.
  • Support business and IT Day to day operations and maintenance of the CMS IT System.

Qualifications

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Certifications or Designations (Training)

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner is an asset.
  • Prince2 Foundation certification is an asset.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience working in IT operations, technology teams or information technology projects.
  • Specialist domain knowledge of commercial management Solutions.

Skills

  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, databases, software applications, and web technologies.
  • Ability to manage, analyze, and interpret large datasets to inform decision-making.
  • Experience with integrating diverse systems, software, and technologies to create cohesive IT solutions.
  • Understanding of cloud services and how to leverage them for business solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies like Agile to oversee solution implementation from inception to delivery.
  • Proficiency in creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs, requirements, and user manuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise between technical teams, stakeholders, and non-technical users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and project requirements.
  • Capacity to think critically and evaluate information from multiple perspectives to make informed decisions.
  • Strong customer service orientation to address user needs and ensure satisfaction with IT solutions.
