Accountability
ONxpress Transportation Partners, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) is looking for a Compensation Analyst (1 year+ Contract) to support the development, implementation and delivery of compensation programs and processes that attract, motivate, retain, and engage employees. This role will assist in developing strategic compensation recommendations by conducting detailed analysis, in maintaining the integrity of compensation and job evaluation programs, processes, plans and procedures; providing support on the development of new positions and helping to evolve and work with systems and processes incorporating operational excellence in delivery, execution and communication.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and defining equitable, competitive, and fair compensation program and policies that fit and are also in accordance with our business goals and strategies.
- Under the guidance of the Manager of Compensation & Benefits; provide support and recommendations for management, HR Business Partners, and recruitment teams on pay decisions to attract, motivate and retain top talent.
- Participate in surveys, research on best practices, tracks current and emerging trends to understand positioning in the competitive market.
- Prepare regular audits and reports for information storage purposes.
- Support the administration of various cyclical compensation programs (e.g., bonus and salary reviews), including defining business requirements.
- Work with Compensation Partner to conduct external market reviews to evaluate compensation competitiveness and provide recommendations to address critical gaps.
- Assist with the on-going job evaluation process and tools, including conducting job evaluations and contributing to process improvements.
- Collaborate with the team to evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs and processes and continually identify and implement improvements.
- Maintains good relationships with the external third-party compensation consulting firms.
- Participate as the team member in the strategic projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Qualifications
- Degree in business/finance, HR management or other related fields
Work Experience
- University degree/ College diploma in Business, Human Resources, and related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a HR/Compensation consulting environment with a focus on job evaluation and data management.
- Advanced knowledge of and experience in compensation principles, programs, processes, pay equity and best practices.
- Proven ability to compile, analyze, interpret large amounts of information/data, and effectively leverage data to support informed decision making.
- High-level of accuracy and detail-oriented.
- Proven experience analyzing and evaluating job content (ideally via a point-factor Job Evaluation system)
- Experience with HRIS and MS Office,
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel
- Familiarity with current labor rules/regulations
