Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for a Project Scheduler to join our Sustainable Innovation team!


What You Will Do

  • You will be reporting to the Manager - PMO, and you will be responsible for providing project management support by establishing, monitoring and updating multiple project schedules, and assisting with planning activities.
  • You will participate in the implementation, as well as the ongoing business improvement of the project management system for Sustainable Innovation projects.
  • You will collaborate with the Manager - PMO to ensure the integration of PMO tools and systems, as related to planning and scheduling.
  • You will be responsible to implement scheduling aspects of a coordinated project control system by using a defined Work Breakdown Structure and Organization Breakdown Structure in the Sustainable Innovation scheduling and cost control systems.
  • You will be responsible to baseline the program and project plans to identify, develop, and implement benchmarking data, for the measurement and analysis of variances and root causes.
  • You will develop and maintain the Master Project Schedule; planning, coordinating, and monitoring scheduling activities (both performance to date and planned schedule activities).
  • You will implement project interface management through schedule updates and reporting.
  • You will communicate with project management team and other staff, to ensure adherence to planning and scheduling policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • You will provide the Time Impact Analysis services for assigned projects.
  • Implementing changes to project schedules through effective change management.
  • You will support linkage between schedule and cost to facilitate budgeting for assigned projects.
  • You will participate in the risk management process for assigned projects.

What Qualifications Do You Bring

  • Your education will consist of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related technical or business discipline (e.g. engineering, project management), and progressive experience in planning and scheduling and/or project management; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Additionally, a Certified Scheduling Technician (CST) with the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) is considered as a definite asset.
  • Your application will reveal sound knowledge of scheduling and planning principles, methods, procedures, and gate processes; good understanding of integration between project functions.
  • Your application will also reveal sound knowledge and practical experience related to scheduling through the end-to-end project lifecycle, from project initiation, planning, executing, controlling, monitoring to closing.
  • Your application will reveal experience with all aspects of the Master Project Schedule (Engineering, Procurement, and Commissioning Schedules) in addition to cost control and project controls.
  • Your application will reveal abilities to be recognized and serve as a subject matter expert to project management team to provide technical guidance and recommendations.
  • Your application will reveal the ability to review and evaluate recommendations proposed by others, exercising independent judgment to ensure consistency with business goals.
  • Your application will reveal proficiency in software applications relevant to the work, including Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel (pivot table, v-lookup, charts), PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, and MS Project.
