At EllisDon you will lead digital transformation under Virtual Design & Construction, the most integral part of our Digital Project Delivery strategy. We enable VDC Coordinators with the latest VDC technology tools in the market to optimize construction project management. Supported by our collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, VDC Coordinators use these tools to innovate and lead their projects to success. Most importantly, we empower our Coordinators to be the bridge between technology and traditional construction, which is most needed for effective digital transformation and innovation.   

You as a 3D Visualization Specialist will:  

• Work in a fast-paced environment of a construction site office as part of a team alongside project managers, superintendents, and engineers.
• Produce photorealistic 3D visualizations, animations, and renderings that communicate project design, logistics, and scheduling effectively to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Utilize 3D modeling and visualization tools like Revit, Navisworks, Fuzer, CMBuilder, and Twinmotion to create high-quality content.
• Deploy a custom suite of software tools to prepare model-based deliverables. 
• Have the freedom and creativity to develop project specific workflows that utilize BIM data for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling (4D), coordination, field layout, and facilitates management.
• Integrate 4D scheduling with construction timelines to showcase project phases and logistics.
• Collaborate with project managers and schedulers to ensure that visual content aligns with project requirements and expectations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest visualization tools and techniques, continuously enhancing the quality and realism of animations and visualizations.
• Create walkthrough animations that demonstrate construction processes, site logistics, and other relevant activities.
• Ensure all visual content meets project deadlines and client expectations.   
• Use 3D Modeling skills to model Site, Architectural, Structural, MEP and Construction Logistic elements as needed for representation, visualization, and coordination.
• Facilitate the deployment of reality capture, utilizing LiDAR, Drones and 360 Photography for model integration, progress tracking, QA/QC, analysis, and visualization.
• Share your passion of construction technology with the project team by teaching and mentoring them as they learn new software and workflows.
• Participate in software testing, R&D initiatives and continue personal and professional growth.

Is this the right role for you? 

• You have 3-5 years of experience in 3D visualization, rendering, and animation, with a strong portfolio of work in construction or related fields. 
• You have a educational background in architecture, architectural technology, engineering, or relevant certification in 3D visualization. 
• You have a strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• You have expertise in tools such as Fuser, CMBuilder, Twinmotion, and other 3D visualization software. 
• You have familiarity with construction processes and the ability to create accurate, realistic visualizations of construction timelines and logistics. 
• You have strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams. 
• You have a passion for creative visualization and bringing construction projects to life. 
• You are passionate about the construction industry and innovation. 
• You have excellent organization, time management skills and attention to detail 
• You are self-motivated, passionate, innovative, and creative. 
• You have experience with VR/AR applications for construction visualization. 
• You have knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) integration for 3D visualizations. 
• A portfolio showcasing your 3D visualizations, animations, and renderings is highly preferred.
