We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Safety Performance and Reporting Analyst to join our talented Safety and Environment Department!
What You Will Do
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining systems to collect, analyze, and report safety and environment key performance indicators (KPIs) . The role involves preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports, creating dashboards, and conducting trend analysis to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Through data-driven insights, research, and benchmarking, this role supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Job Functions
- Develop and maintain systems for collecting and verifying safety and environmental KPIs and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports and create dashboards and visualizations for various stakeholders
- Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities through statistical analysis and provide actionable recommendations
- Conduct internal and external research to compare performance with industry standards and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Propose and implement improvements to data systems and reporting processes and collaborate with various stakeholder departments
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests and present findings to management and operational teams and support special projects and safety initiatives
- Strong communication skills across multiple mediums.
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, macros, and automation for data analysis and reporting
- Proficiency with Power BI and other modern BI tools for dashboards and interactive reporting
- Experience with databases and data extraction techniques
- Knowledge of Python scripting for data manipulation, automation, and analytics
- Understanding of machine learning and natural language processing for predictive modeling and text analysis
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex data clearly
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (OHRC, AODA)
- High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and collaborative mindset
- Must have or rapidly acquire thorough knowledge of TTC/Group/Department structure, functions, policies, and procedures relevant to the work.
- Rapidly acquire comprehensive knowledge of the TTC Enterprise Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) Management System Software, including reporting and dashboard creation.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?
- Your background including completion of a college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is integral and will contribute to the success in this role.
- Certifications in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence are considered an asset.
