The Daniels Corporation is actively searching for a Development Administrator to join the team at the Toronto office. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the role will be responsible for the administration of consultant project related documentation and providing administrative support to the Vice President of Development and Project Leads, as needed.

The Daniels Corporation is actively searching for a Development Administrator for the Development team at the Toronto office.  Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the role will be responsible for the administration of consultant project related documentation and providing administrative support to the Vice President of Development and Project Leads, as needed.

Responsibilities: 

  • Draft and obtain signatures on all consultant contracts and ensure that proper supporting documents have been provided by consultants (ex: Certificates of Insurance, WSIB Certificates, etc.);
  • Ensure the Development team’s contract administration needs and requirements are met in a timely manner and maintain list of contract status for each consultant and project;
  • Ensure understanding of consultant contracts and coordinate consultant- or project- specific contract revisions, as/if needed;
  • Communicate contract status to appropriate Development Team member;
  • Ensure communication between Daniels and consultants are professional and timely;
  • Liaise with team members as needed to complete contracts; 
  • Maintain and update standard consultant scopes of works and issue requests for proposals with oversight from the Development lead;
  • Preparation and management of Financial Security (i.e., Letters of Credit & deposits) tracking system;
  • Regular follow up with appropriate Development Team member for reduction/release of Financial Securities;
  • Preparation and update of Development Overview charts;
  • Assist the Vice President of Development as needed; and,
  • Support the Directors of Development as required.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a college diploma or university degree
  • Understanding of consultant contracts & development is an asset
  • Able to manage multiple mandates and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
